Sheridan Construction submitted and won the bid to build the new Yancey Bros Facility in Macon, Georgia. The project contains an approximate 55,000 SF building which includes three metal building structures; a service shop, warehouse, and hydraulic cylinder shop. There is also a structural steel portion which houses the business offices. It also includes ~10,000 sf metal building structure (track shop) and ~8,000 sf metal building structure (wash bay). The entire site is surrounded with 12” thick exterior concrete paving which totaled in ~8000 cubic yards of concrete. This project was on a very tight schedule from day one but with team coordination the project was completed on schedule.
The project earned a Merit Honors Build Georgia Award from the Associated General Contractors of Georgia.
