Sheridan Construction was hired to perform interior and exterior renovation work to the 135-year-old Knowles Hall on the campus of Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. The scope of work included removal of all 80 exterior windows, installation of new LED light fixtures with occupancy sensors throughout the interior of the building, new carpet and tile in the office spaces, new LVT flooring in the corridors and classrooms, and all new paint on the doors, ceilings, walls, and windows throughout the building. Existing interior walls were extended and topped off at 12 feet to provide the offices and classrooms with privacy. In addition, all six restrooms were renovated with new tile floors and walls, stall partitions, and solid surface vanities. A new ADA-accessible restroom was also added.
