The River Edge Peer Support Center is a significant investment in behavioral health infrastructure serving the Macon, Georgia, community. This 35,480-square-foot, ground-up facility was designed to support peer-driven programming in a safe, durable, and welcoming environment. The center includes classrooms, activity rooms, teaching kitchens, administrative offices, and a fully equipped gymnasium, all tailored to meet behavioral health operational and safety requirements.

Sheridan Construction delivered the project with exceptional performance in schedule, budget, and quality. Substantial Completion was achieved more than 80 days ahead of schedule, despite complex sequencing, specialized gymnasium installations, and rigorous code compliance. Close coordination with the State Fire Marshal and local authorities resulted in 100% first-cycle inspection approval.

The project was completed at the original contract value of $13.65 million with zero change orders. Through proactive planning and efficient execution, Sheridan preserved the full contractor contingency and returned more than $400,000 in savings to the Owner. Completed with zero recordable safety incidents, the center stands as a model of collaborative delivery and community-focused construction excellence.
