Sheridan Construction was contracted to build for Mercer University a new baseball stadium that is known as OrthoGeorgia Park.  Construction began (in-between baseball seasons) during the summer of 2016 and ended March of 2017 The project consisted of demolishing the existing baseball stadium beginning at the end of the 2016 baseball season and constructing a much larger two-story stadium within the same footprint, while completing the project in time for the beginning of the 2017 season.

Throughout the project, the field remained unharmed and in use for the baseball team to have summer, fall, and winter practices and workouts. The new stadium contains an office suite behind the home dugout, both dugouts complete with bathrooms, a large concourse area with two stand-alone block and brick buildings used as men’s and women’s restrooms, concessions, and merchandising, and a two-story press box with four press suites and two VIP open air suites.
