Sheridan Construction recently completed interior renovations to the third, fourth and fifth floors of the Jefferson Building at 433 Cherry Street in Downtown Macon. Each floor was 10,000 SF for a total of 30,000 SF of interior renovation work. The renovated fourth and fifth floor areas will be utilized by the Mercer University School of Medicine as a learning and teaching environment for medical students, residents and faculty. Features include a clinical trial research room, a surgical simulation room, patient teaching and observation rooms, offices for faculty and residents, and a “wet lab” where students will practice surgical stitching techniques.  The renovated third floor will be home to the Marriage and Family Therapy department.

The Sheridan [Construction] team has done an outstanding job on this project. It was very challenging with a large amount of demolition and construction. The interior renovations were completed quickly with minimal disruption to the other occupants of the building. They [Sheridan Construction] are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating.
