With the relocation of the Computer Science program to the newly renovated Willet Science Center on the Mercer University Macon campus, the 1960s era-built Computer Science building was no longer needed. The Sheridan Construction team started demolition of the building in March 2020 and worked throughout the summer. Where a building once stood is now an open landscaped thoroughfare connecting the Connell Student Center with the Old Quad on the Mercer campus for students and faculty to enjoy.
The Sheridan [Construction] team exhibited skill, quality workmanship, and responsiveness to our questions, needs, and concerns. They worked to expedite tasks as requested and proved to be very professional. The work they provided reflected a high standard of quality and value.
