This 6,000-square foot   project consisted of the renovation of the existing long-term care unit, into an acute care psychiatric unit. The renovation included replacing doors, hardware, faucets and toilet accessories to bring them to new safety standards. Sheridan Construction also added a new ceiling and flooring. We worked closely with the owner to ensure that our renovation of the corridors and office areas in the front entrance would not interrupt the daily operations of the facility. Most of our work was done on a nightly basis to ensure that this task could be accomplished successfully. Fire dampers were also installed in the existing area to create a separate fire compartment for the acute care unit. The project was completed on time and under budget.
