Sheridan Construction was selected to provide a comprehensive renovation of the Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans Administration Building at the Georgia Institute of Technology that included a primary focus on life safety and accessibility. The building’s mechanical and electrical infrastructure were updated to improve energy efficiency. In addition to establishing shared program elements at the building’s core, a new stairwell was added, an asbestos abatement was done, a new sprinkler system was added, and an elevator was installed to serve from the ground to the fourth floor. The project also included renovation of administrative suites for two of the university’s colleges.
The project earned a First Place Build Georgia Award from the Associated General Contractors of Georgia.
