Sheridan Construction successfully completed a full-scale renovation of the 89,668-square-foot Fort Valley Middle School, transforming both the interior and exterior of the facility to better serve students, faculty, and the community ahead of the 2025–2026 academic year.

Interior work included the complete demolition of existing finishes throughout classrooms, hallways, gymnasium, and administrative areas. This included the removal of flooring, ceiling tiles, cabinetry, and much more. The administrative area was entirely demolished down to the exterior walls and reconstructed with all new drywall to accommodate a reimagined and more efficient layout. Sheridan performed extensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rework, ensuring all systems met current performance and safety standards. Additional upgrades included new LED lighting, updated access control, and fresh paint throughout the building. A major highlight of the interior renovation was the complete transformation of the gym, which received new basketball goals, updated paint schemes, bleachers, scoreboards, and sound system. Additionally, a state-of-the-art weight room was constructed, featuring new weight racks, dumbbells, and footlockers—providing students with a modern space for fitness and physical education.

On the exterior, Sheridan constructed a new front entrance complete with updated signage to improve the school’s curb appeal and accessibility. Additionally, Sheridan constructed a new parking lot, improving site circulation, traffic flow, and overall accessibility for staff, students, and visitors.
