The renovation and expansion of First Presbyterian Church in Macon, Georgia, preserved its historic character while modernizing facilities for the congregation and community. Updates included renovating the Library Ballroom into flexible office and meeting spaces, adding a new colonnade and courtyard for outdoor worship, and upgrading the fellowship hall and classroom buildings with new restrooms to improve accessibility and comfort.

Challenges such as severe weather, an active church environment, and a tight downtown site required careful planning. Construction activities were scheduled around worship services, and temporary barriers ensured safety. Weather delays were managed through schedule adjustments, and close coordination with local authorities helped navigate site constraints.

Through phased work and daily coordination, the team minimized disruptions and kept the project on track. Strategic planning allowed portions of the church to remain open while construction progressed in other areas.

The completed project provides First Presbyterian Church with modern, functional spaces that respect its historic roots. The enhancements support continued growth and outreach, ensuring the church remains a vibrant part of the Macon community for years to come.
