The River Edge Peer Support Center is a 35,480-square-foot, ground-up behavioral health facility located on a three-acre site in Macon, Georgia. The building supports peer-based wellness programming and includes classrooms, activity and teaching kitchen spaces, administrative offices, and a full multi-sport gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. Constructed on a slab-on-grade foundation, the facility features a durable exterior of brick, curtain wall, metal panels, and Nichiha panels and was designed to provide a safe, durable, and welcoming environment for the community.

Sheridan Construction achieved Substantial Completion on November 7, 2025, more than 80 days ahead of the contractual completion date, despite complex sequencing, specialty gymnasium systems, evolving owner requirements, and rigorous code reviews. Through proactive planning, clear communication, and close coordination with the owner, architect, and inspectors, the project received full approval on the first inspection cycle, enabling the owner to begin operational planning earlier than anticipated.

The project was delivered at the original contract value of $13,652,934 with zero change orders. Sheridan preserved 100% of the contractor’s contingency and is returning more than $400,000 in total savings to the owner, while maintaining a flawless safety record. The completed facility reflects Sheridan Construction’s commitment to quality, fiscal responsibility, and the delivery of high-performing, community-focused behavioral health environments.
