Sheridan Construction successfully completed the Hall 7 Student Housing project for Albany State University. This project had an extremely tight timeline for a project of its size. There were an immense number of change orders and late-stage revisions that the team had to overcome.

Through hard work, long hours, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, the team expedited the schedule by one month, allowing the end user to occupy the space earlier than expected.

This project was initially billed on a backup documentation basis in accordance with Davis-Bacon Wage Rates. At the beginning of the project, General Requirements (GRs) and all subcontractor invoicing were processed as backup billing. During the final quarter of the project, we converted to lump-sum billing at the direction of the Board of Regents (BOR).
With two superintendents on site, a demanding schedule, and a six-day workweek, the project was delivered successfully despite significant challenges.
