Christy Cranford, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Sheridan Construction, recently visited with students in the Crisp County High School Construction program. She also presented their instructor, Wyndell Hamrick, a check for $1,500 from the Associated General Contractors of Georgia and the Central Georgia/Southern Crescent Workforce Development Alliance. The money will help him purchase much-needed materials for his program. In addition to the check, L.E. Schwartz and Son, Inc., a Macon roofing contractor, donated roofing materials and supplies to the Construction program for the students to use in their projects. One such project is a small building they have built using primarily recycled materials, which they plan to sell as a fundraiser for the program.
