This project involved new construction on a site adjacent to the existing building for Mercedes, Subaru, and Volvo. Sheridan Construction was responsible for the site design and coordinated the site layout with the building. It was important to the owner to have as many parking spaces as the site would allow. The site work included installing a 300-foot-long retaining wall along a creek at one side of the property. As the construction manager, we worked closely with the owner and architect during preconstruction to help determine the size and cost of the building. The result was 231 parking spaces on a three-acre site with a 13,800-square foot building.

The regional inspector for Subaru did not find any deficiency during the final inspection. The total construction time for the project was eight months, affording the owner use of the building before December, their busiest sales month of the year.   Jackson Automotive had their biggest sales month ever during that December of 2015.

Sheridan’s relationship started with Jackson Automotive in July 1964 with every contract being a hand shake.
