Sheridan Construction was hired to perform upgrades to the landscaping and hardscapes around Newton Hall, Willingham Auditorium and Hardman Hall on the Mercer University’s historic Macon campus. Scope of work included several new hardwood trees strategically placed around a simple three tier fountain, which is a smaller version of the fountain found across the street at Tattnall Square Park. The entrances to Willingham Auditorium and Newton Hall were made more accessible with the addition of concrete steps and ADA accessible ramps with cast stone caps. The existing maintenance drive between Hardeman and Newton Halls was also removed and replace with a thickened reinforced concrete drive, as well as traffic-rated pavers to resemble other parts of the campus. Sheridan Construction also worked with a local arborist to preserve several trees located on the project site.
