The project consisted of a 38,000-square foot two-story support facility for Mercer’s football and lacrosse teams. Included within this facility are state of the art weight and training rooms for Mercer’s sports programs as well as a space for Mercer’s Sports Medicine, which provides physical therapy support to their student athletes. The stadium consists of 7,000 bleacher seating, five concession stands, three ticket booths, a press box, information buildings and a novelty shop. The project was broken into different phases to allow for construction progress while design and budgets were finalized. The initial phase was sitework at $1.5 million, football field and field house were added at a cost of $9.2 million and a stadium with support building at a cost of $8.86 million for a final project cost of $19,560,000.
